I am now getting ready for my first African safari to the Masai Mara from the 1st to the 10th Of February 2012. A dream journey with just Myself and my good friend Kamil. We have hired an exclusive Jeep just for the 2 of us with all our equipment in it for 8 days. We hope make full use of the Safari and if conditions are right we will be doing full day photography at our convenience.
Most of you may ask why we are doing this in February and not in August/September at the height of the dry and Migration periods. The simple answer is that we have seen thousands of pictures in these conditions, the migration, dry scenery and common dry backgrounds and we wanted to experience true wild Africa in a different scale in beautiful Lush Green Backgrounds amidst lovely winter Light. And February is the Best time for it.
Its going to be hard work of course as its not as easy as finding animals during the dry-Migration periods typically in August/September.
We have to work hard to Find and Get to the Animals to achieve what we want to photograph. To photograph Lions,Cheetah's, Leopards,Buffaloa, Elephant and Birds in beautiful early morning and late evening light with lush Backgrounds. SO wish us all the Luck Folks. |
