I have just processed some of my last shots from Yala and Bundala taken in March/April 2009. It has been lying inside by MACPRO for 4 months ,and since I am fasting these days, I have to wake up around 4am every morning and after I have a light meal to begin the fast, I found that I wasn't falling asleep, so I came upon this brilliant idea of processing those long due images. So here I am processing images from 4.30 am till 8am. By that time I feel very tired and take a short nap until 10am before I go to office.
Processing images takes time, especially if you want to perfect it. Its time worth spent. because when you master it, you will know exactly what to do in the field and take full advantage of the features and capabilities that can be put into your photography.
If you don't process your images right after your shoots you will end up having huge backlogs and you will probably forget some shots which would be worthwhile for your collection. Like what happened to me. I find when i look back at my archives 2 years behind, i found that I had captured some fantastic shots which I wouldn't have realised at that time. Because in photography, the obsession creeps in and your forever in the quest of making magical images.
Images like leopards in magical light, with absolute stunning backgrounds. You are always generally dissapointed and you tend to not look twice at your shots during this time. That happens to everyone like you and me.
So, these pictures are some of my first batches of my Bundala and Yala trips which I have just completed processing.
