To a Frenchman, "August 4th" immediately brings to mind the famous "nuit du 4 aout" ("night of August 4th") which is when, in 1789, the privileges of nobility and clergy were abolished as part of the French revolution. From :"On the night of August 4, the delegates rose one by one to propose new reforms and to surrender class privileges. The manorial system in which peasants were tied to their landlords through obligations and fees were gone, as was the corvee and all tithing to the church. The nobility and the clergy gave up their exemptions from taxation."It's still an important historical date in France. Just yesterday, there was a in Le Monde asking for a new "nuit du 4 aout" to end tax evasion by the richest.I figured you wouldn't be displeased by this coincidence and its resonance with what you set out to do with WSO2...Happy birthday.

Hi Prof, this is not a comment that you should publish, okay. What I wanted to do was make a suggestion or two about your site. First, I like it and think you will enjoy having a WordPress site, they’re very easy to use. Now, here’s a suggestion – remove the META area from the site, it doesn’t look good and you don’t need it. All you have to do when you want to log in, is go to the site, then type “wp-admin” without the quotes behind your URL. This will take you directly to your WordPress login.Next, since removing Meta will cause you to lose the links to the RSS sign-up, add a RSS icon in your footer or to a widget area. And add “Links” to the sidebar and link to all your other sites and all your books for sale. It’ll help your ranking on all the sites and might sell some books, too. Hope you are having fun with WordPress, it’s a great program, and the more you use it the more you will appreciate all the things it can do.

Basing info on the assumption that Levi won't be a Bengal when the '09 aesson starts (current rumors and trade talks), I see it as LT-Monroe (I would be into Oher here too if his Pro Day goes well and puts him back as a top 6 pick), LG-Whitworth, C-Mack or Unger picked in 2nd round, RG-BWilliams, RT-Collins. Collins played well on the fly at LT but the offense did alot of shifting with TEs and RBs helping him out. He rocked at LT all things considered and I'm not saying he couldn't do it at LT in '09 but I think he could make a shift to RT (where he played some in college) paving the way for Monroe at LT. It would be two rookies starting on the o-line but based on their status right now Monroe, Mack, and Unger are all projected Game 1 starters. Also at C Wood, Caldwell, and Luigs are possibilities as 3rd round draft picks if Mack and Unger are gone at 38 since all are considered 2nd rounders that fall to the 3rd round because of the depth of this year's C class (although Wood's stock has risen in some circles and he could be a possibility at 38) . |

Good article Debbie but a sad ndcintmeit of the Tiger States' leaders who appear to be uninterested and complacent over the continuing diminishing number of wild tigers. The Madhya Pradesh situation is truly appalling with evidence mounting over a conspiracy between the poachers and former forest officers at Panna. It appears that when people in authority within MP are quite clearly involved in poaching etc the State Government pulls rank and ensures that these officials are not brought before the courts of justice. The case of the Jhurjhura tigress at Bandhavgarh is yet another example of the MP State Government not wishing to see a CBI investigation as at least 2 forest officers and other influential individuals were clearly involved in the slaying of this tigress. I am not surprised over the huge support shown for Anna Hazar recently in his campaign against corruption in India. China of course is another matter and so disappointing after the statement made in support of tiger conservation at the St. Petersburg conference last year by the Chinese Prime Minister. It would have been a golden opportunity for the Chinese Premier to have used his considerable influence to shut down the wretched tiger farms as a commitment and goodwill gesture to the other Tiger Range States. Sorry i am rambling on-keep up the excellent work Debbie as always you have my full support. |
